Privacy Policy

EZ Discount Sales is a family-run business based in Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon, United Kingdom (VAT number GB 509811389). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

• Account details: your name, email address and a password, which is stored encrypted by our platform provider.
• Order details: the items you bought, prices and discounts applied, the delivery name and address, a phone number if you give one, and any messages about the order.
• Payment information: card payments are handled by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount, a transaction reference and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card number.
• Loyalty and wishlist data: your loyalty balance and its transactions, the items you save to a wishlist, and any wishlist link you choose to share.
• Communications: emails and messages you send us, including contact form messages, shipping enquiries, return requests, and the reviews you submit.
• Technical and usage data: your IP address (which we use to work out your approximate town or city so we can see where demand is coming from), browser and device type, the pages and products you view, cart activity, and an anonymous session identifier kept in your browser.
• Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to our emails, and any discount code issued to you personally.

We do not collect or process your information for automated decision making, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

• To take payment, confirm and fulfil your order, prepare picking lists and dispatch your parcel (performance of our contract with you).
• To pass delivery details to Royal Mail or another courier so your parcel can be delivered and tracked (contract).
• To handle returns, refunds and faulty items (contract).
• To keep accounting, VAT and tax records (legal obligation).
• To answer your questions, messages and complaints, and to send service messages about an order you have placed (contract and our legitimate interest in supporting customers).
• To run our loyalty scheme, wishlists and discount codes (contract).
• To invite you to review a purchase, and to remind you about a basket you did not complete, using the email address from that order (our legitimate interest in helping customers finish an order; every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link).
• To understand which products and pages are popular, keep the shop working, and detect fraud and abuse (our legitimate interest in running the business securely).
• To measure our advertising, for example whether a Google Ads click led to a purchase (consent, where cookies are involved).
• To send you marketing emails about offers and new stock, but only where you have asked us to (consent).

• Payment providers (Stripe and Base44 Payments) to process payments, refunds and disputes.
• Delivery partners such as Royal Mail and other couriers, and their tracking systems, so your order can be delivered.
• Our platform and email providers, who host the shop, the app and our order and dispatch emails.
• Analytics and advertising providers (Google) in aggregate or pseudonymised form, so we can see how the shop is used and whether our ads work.
• Our accountant, and where the law requires it, the police, HMRC or a court.

We share only what each of these providers needs for its part of the job. We never sell your information, and we do not pass it to other traders for their own marketing.

Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on their safeguards, such as an adequacy finding or standard contractual clauses, and we choose providers that offer them.

• Order and payment records: six years after the end of the relevant tax year, as HMRC requires.
• Account, wishlist and loyalty records: while your account is open, then deleted or anonymised.
• Enquiries, messages and return requests: two years after they are closed.
• Reviews: published until you ask us to remove them.
• Analytics and usage data: kept in aggregate or for a short period, and not used to identify you.

We use a small number of cookies and items of browser storage to run the shop:

• Essential: keeping your basket, session and login working. These cannot be switched off without the basket and checkout breaking.
• Analytics: understanding which pages and products are viewed so we can improve the shop (Google Analytics).
• Advertising: measuring Google Ads conversions so we know which adverts lead to real sales.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can browse and buy as a guest without an account.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you,
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date,
• ask us to delete your information, where we do not need to keep it,
• ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to what we do with it,
• ask us to move your information to another provider,
• withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent, and
• object to marketing at any time, after which we will stop immediately.

Email sales@ezdiscountsales.com to use any of these rights. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Order confirmations, dispatch notices and refund messages are part of our service and cannot be switched off while you have an order with us. Marketing emails about offers and new stock are only sent if you have asked for them, and every one of them includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not stop service messages about an existing order.

The shop is served over an encrypted connection, access to customer information is limited to those who need it, and card details are handled by our payment providers rather than by us. If a breach ever put your rights at risk, we would tell you and report it to the Information Commissioner's Office as the law requires.

Our shop is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we cannot accept an order from anyone under 18.

We will update this page when what we do with your information changes, and the date at the top of the page shows when it was last reviewed.
